HMFMC 189 Spring Is In The Air

Glitter Text Generator

My wonderful teamie Tracy is the host of this challenge---time to get over this cold weather and join in the fun! We are oh so done with winter...

Little Maxwell  is enjoying the warmth of the sun while enjoying a sudsy 'spring shower' amid the flowers-GOOD CLEAN FUN!

For my card today I cut a fun 3D shadow box card base with my Silhouette, as well as the sun and clouds. The tilted banner and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamps and the grass was cut from a Lawn Fawn die.  I must say...I love the Lawn Fawn cloud cardstock too! Perfect for this image, don't you think?
Yes, this card does fold flat for mailing. The Silhouette card file is huge, so you will have to resize it down quite a bit. I also took a Marvy crystal point colored pencil to add markings to the cloud...love that pen!

What have I been up to today??? Cupcakes

I have a gazillion things to get done today...so what did I do instead?

My daughter Abby received cupcake decorating tools for Christmas so today we decided to decorate her tool caddy with vinyl cupcakes and colored sprinkles. We had so much fun!!!
We used the font  LDHipster  34449.  I actually got it from Lettering Delights, but I see it is available at the Silhouette Store as well!

I am entering this in the Silhouette Challenge for February-3D Item for your craftroom.

Thanks for popping in today...call me a slacker, but it was a good craftin' day!

A Birdie Told Me...It's Your Birthday!

a birdie told me....

I told you so....

I also used a new little Paper Smooches Backdrop Builders die set-(for the road, clouds and the tree.)  The card base was cut with my Silhouette, with the grass cardstock cut from my new TE Rainbow Bright 6x6 Paper Pad. The sentiment is from the Paper Smooches stamp set Woofers and Tweeters.

I made this for a life long friend's birthday...I know she will appreciate it...and even give it a shake or two!

Goody Goody Gumballs!

Sometimes a  project can be so simple and oh so cute!

I love it when I can make fun little treat goodies that are quick and easy to make. What kid would not love a jar full of gumballs? ( I must say I may have been forced to chew a couple of the extra gumballs while making these projects!)

All it takes is 3 little pieces to make a shaker!

These were all cut out with the coordinating die that came with the stamp set. The stamp set also has several perfectly matched sentiments with it. If you have never opened a Taylored Expressions stamp set...you are in for  a real treat. I LOVE how her stamps stick right to the enclosed packaging for storage!

I colored the front image and also stamped the sentiment on the back piece. I added  2 layers of SU!  pop dots  so that there was room for the Taylored Expressions sequins to shake around. (one layer of pop dots just does not work for me)  I then added the sequins and put the back piece on.

I am in love with these sequins from Taylored Expressions...I guarantee you will see more of them (ahem...maybe even tomorrow!)

The tag is tied on with some twine so it can be flipped over to read the message on the back-don't forget to sign it!

You can find the Goody Goody Gumballs with Coordinating Die by Taylored Expressions at Inspiration Emporium as well as the Taylored Expressions Rainbow Brights Sequins.

HMFMC 188---Friends

I am hosting  challenge #188...so I do hope you play along!

Glitter Text Generator

OBVIOUSLY ....Itty Bit is in need of a friend to help with the weigh in, and possibly  a wee bit of inspiration in the will power department maybe? LOL  Gosh I think I could use a friend to keep me on track and away from the candy too!

The card I am showing today uses a stamp named Light as a Feather featuring Itty bit and Hop It(it's an older Stampabilities stamp)! I have had the sentiment stamp forever-it has the name American Art Stamps on it.

I cut out a fun pink clip board card base with my Silhouette  to add my image on to.  I mean really--- we should all have a pink clipboard right???... I used some brush silver paper for top clip as well. Pretty simple!

I would love it if you could make a House Mouse card about Friends!

There are some great prizes for this challenge...so don't miss out!!!

HMFMC #188 -- FRIENDS

I am hosting  challenge #188...so I do hope you play along!

Glitter Text Generator

I would love it if you could make a House Mouse card about Friends!

For my card today I used my new Reading Rabbits cling stamp made by Stampendous.  I think this is just the sweetest...reminds me of when my children used to sit together and read books-and they are the best of friends.  I love that these bunnies are reading a book about "The Happy Rabbit"!!!

I can see these best friends reading to the little ones-teaching them to read fairy bunny tales!!

The base of this card was cut with my Silhouette-the cut file is  titled Notebook Paper and was easy to put together. The image is stamped twice and one of them is cut out and added on top with pop dots. The A+ is added with pop dots as well.

There are some great prizes for this challenge...so don't miss out!!!

Left Shark Valentine.

Left Shark Valentine!

I made this Valentine card especially for my Sweetums. I am not sure he will 'get' it, but I had a great time making it.    If you watched the halftime show of the Superbowl this year, then you might remember Katy Perry singing with the two dancing  sharks on either side of her and the funny beach balls bouncing all around.
If you don't know what I am talking about...you can see a bit of Katy's performance here.
There was quite a buzz about the silly shark dancer to the left of Katy...he sort of did his own thing and endeared himself to those who watched!

Lettering Delights offered a one time shot to download the shark freebie Dancing Shark Cut File so of course I got it and have been planning this card for the last couple weeks! I can't find that the file is available anymore....

I used a step card file from the Silhouette store as well and the palm tree and beach ball. The sentiment was made on my computer. The sharks are mounted on Action Wobbles so the sharks actually 'dance'!!! That makes me smile....

I hope you enjoyed my last Valentine of the season! I actually made about 30 sucker flowers and several other cards and dang-I forgot to take pictures. Oh well...it was a busy Valentine season for me this year LOL! Whew...now maybe it's time for a little break to clean my house --YIKES!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

You're Hot Valentine

Just a quick Valentine to post. I have had these made for a while but just getting around to photographing them-probably because I need to give them out today LOL!

This was a freebie from Lettering Delights-(but can now be bought at their site HERE)so fun!  The front is pieced on the holder and the tag is a print and cut.   I had some wide bags that I filled M &M's and then folded in half to fit the tall, slim treat holders!  The files come in both print and cut and Cut It sets.

If you are not familiar with Jin at Under a Cherry Tree-and you are a Silhouette fanatic like me...maybe you should hop over to her site and check it out. She designs for Letter Delights-- I sure wish I had time to make all the fun things she shows off on her blog!  She will point you to all sorts of freebies as well! I lve her blog!!!  What an inspiration!

I have my left shark Valentine card still to post today, but that will have to wait until some house projects are finished around here today!

Thanks for popping in!

Lukey Turns 5!!! Dancing Candle!

Today I am sharing a cute little birthday card I made for my grandson Lukey. He turns 5 today!  This little Dancing Candle is a file from My Scrap Chick and the card is a stand up photo display stand from the Silhouette Store that I resized smaller.( It is linked below)

I can't believe it was 5 years ago today that I announced the arrival of my "not so little anymore"grandson Lukey!  I posted about his arrival HERE. (yes I have been blogging for years!)

Luke Newton..age FIVE -all 'ducked' out for his birthday party in Oregon Duck gear..his choice of party theme.

And here he is being held by his big' brudder' 5 years ago ... Oh my!

Thanks for stopping in today...I don't usually post this much, but I could not let this special day pass without sharing!

Birthday Bear Hugs

A special card for a special Dad!!!

My Sweetie's Dad was born on Valentine's Day-80 years ago this year! Now that is a birthday to celebrate!!!

I really wanted to make a special card because I know he always looks forward to his mail during this week.  Last year I was late and he was pretty disappointed. Not going to make that mistake again this year!!!

I used a great combo of Art Impression stamps, action wobblers and a fun Valentine forest cut file from the Silhouette Store(see link below).  They all came together for a great scene, don't you think? I can just imagine this cuddly bear meandering out of the forest just in time to give out big birthday bear hugs!!!  The top half of the bear is mounted on a action wobbler and does a pretty good jiggle /wiggle too! I also cut out the word Birthday with my Silhouette and mounted it on white matting and then added a little Wink of Stella glitter on his heart britches and bowtie! Very stylin'!

I love the thought of a forest full of pink heart leaves....

Thanks for stopping in-I Love it when you visit! I do have a couple more Valentines to try to squeeze in this week, just depends on my free time...

Sue
